Alabama Hires Small Unknown Coach Kalen DeBoer

What a huge risk

After Nick Saban retired this year Alabama had to hire a new head coach to replace him. Saban, a legend in college football, was clearly losing his touch. He lost one game this year! One! Some people, (maybe us), think that Bama should have been denied entry to the playoffs for that. Also when they got to the playoffs they lost in the semis which is pretty bad... for them.

NCAA Has Strange Criteria for Playoffs

Kalen DeBoer coached for Washington who just competed in the championship and lost to Michigan this year. His college record is just as bad as Saban’s, 104–12. Yeah, pretty crazy. Like Saban, he lost one game during the regular season so it’s going to be tough but he might be able to turn Bama around.
